A recent stage drama performance by Nadeem Chitta has ignited a storm across social media after a clip from the show went viral.

In the widely circulated video, the comedian appeared to reference Rajab Butt and his family during a comedic segment. What may have been intended as humor quickly turned into controversy.

In the clip, the stage actress asks Nadeem Chitta his name, to which he replies “Sanjay Singhania.” She then asks for his father’s name, and he responds, “Rakesh Sanjay Singhania.” When asked about his mother’s name, he replies, “Sunny Leone Sanjay Singhania.” Finally, when the actress asks about his family name, he responds, “Rajab Butt family.”

The controversy escalated further when Rajab Butt himself reportedly came across the viral video online. Concerned by the content, he directly reached out to Nadeem Chitta to seek clarification.

Facing mounting criticism, Nadeem Chitta issued a public apology, addressing both Rajab Butt and his family.

In his statement, Chitta clarified that there had been a misunderstanding. He claimed that the joke was actually intended to refer to the family of Mahesh Bhatt, not Rajab Butt.

“I deeply regret the confusion and any hurt caused,” he stated, emphasizing that there was no intention to target Rajab Butt or his family personally.

In an interview with UrduPoint, Rajab Butt said, “After Nadeem Chitta’s apology, everything has been sorted between us.”
