Shaukat Rangeela is a Pakistani stage actor and comedian from Gujranwala, Punjab. “Shaukat Rangeela” is his stage name, while his real name is Shaukat Hussain.[1]
Career
Shaukat Rangeela was inspired by the actor Mohammad Saeed Khan, popularly known as Rangeela. One day, while Shaukat was performing a mimicry act of Rangeela at the residence of Pakistani professional wrestler Aslam Pahalwan, actor Masood Akhtar, a relative of Aslam Pahalwan saw his performance and was deeply impressed.
Masood Akhtar then introduced Shaukat Rangeela to several film directors, marking the beginning of his acting career in 1969.[2]
Shaukat Rangeela’s first film was Mukhra Chann Warga (1969). He later met Rangeela on the set of the Punjabi film Maa Puttar (1970), where he developed a close bond with him and eventually became his shagird (student).[3]
