Saleem Albela is a Pakistani stage, film, and television actor and comedian from Lahore, Pakistan. When he was two years old, his family moved to Okara, Pakistan. Saleem Albela was born in 1970 and is currently 55 years old. Salim Albela’s mother died in June 2024.

Personal life

First marriage

Saleem Albela married for the first time at the age of 16, His first wife was his maternal uncle’s daughter (Mamu Ki Beti). His mother arranged his first marriage too soon because Saleem Albela’s maternal uncle and aunt both died, leaving their children orphans.
His first wife died while giving birth to their son, Hamza Saleem. Saleem Albela had five children with his first wife: three daughters and two sons.

Saleem Albela’s daughter Farwa Saleem died when he was working away from home. His family had no idea where he was or in which place he was, and they couldn’t reach him because phones didn’t exist back then. So when he got home, he asked about Farwa, and his family informed him that she had died. Farwa Saleem was between the ages of six and seven when she died.

Saleem Albela was working on a stage show in Burewala, Vehari, when he became aware of his wife’s death. He returned to Okara and did not perform on stage for several months. Then he opened “Fankaar Tea Stall” at Okara Theater.

Second marriage

Saleem Albela married a second time and has 3 daughters, Iqra Saleem, Hafza Saleem, and Fajar Saleem, and 1 son, Chaand Saleem, from the second marriage.

Career

Before becoming an actor, Saleem Albela sold tea and worked as a carpet weaver at a local factory for seven years. In 1992, Saleem Albela performed his debut theatrical drama, produced by Arshad Chaudhry, in Okara’s Baldia Hall. He was mentored by Haji Albela.

After his first wife died, Saleem Albela quit performing stage shows and spent several months selling tea at the Okara theater. In the Okara Theater, Kaifi—Kifayat Hussain Bhatti, a well-known actor, director, and producer, starred in the stage drama “Jerra Na Mannay Thaa.” Kaifi’s stage play was short on actors, so he asked Saleem to take the role and perform. Saleem Albela took the part, and the show was a huge success in various places.

Aside from television and theater, Saleem Albela creates comic skits for his YouTube channel, Albela TV.

Kache Pakke is Saleem Albela’s upcoming Punjabi-Indian film. The film also has his fellow comedians Vicky Kodu and Goga Pasroori.
