Muhammad Abid Khan was a Pakistani stage comedian and actor from Gujranwala, Punjab.
Abid Khan was born in 1953 and died on August 19, 2000 (aged 46) of a heart attack. He was visiting the Hazrat Bari Imam shrine in Islamabad at the time.[1]
Abid Khan grew up with four brothers and three sisters. He was the eldest, and Shahid Khan was the youngest. Following Abid Khan’s death, three more of his brothers died, including Zahid Khan in 2024. Shahid Khan is the only brother who is still alive. [2]
Career
Abid Khan was most known as a stage comedian, although he also appeared in television series and films. One of his most well-known plays was Shartiya Mithay, in which he played the father of Babu Baral and Amanullah Khan.[3]
Abid Khan acted in various films, including Choorian (1998) and Sargam (1995).[4]
His well-known television serial was Alao (1993), which was aired on PTV.[5]
Abid Khan’s last film Mukhra Chan Warga (2001) was released after his death.
